Mykonos: il bianco e il blu delle Cicladi

Mykonos, isole Cicladi. Fascino intramontabile, bellezza senza pari. Una tra le mete più chiacchierate e vive delle nostre estati. Consigli per visitarla ed assaporarne il meglio.

Le spiagge

Ok, siete in Grecia perciò parliamo di relax e mare cristallino. Le spiagge più belle sull’Isola?

Paradise – Super paradise – Kalo Livadi – Psarou – Elìa – Paranga – Platys Gialos – Panormos e per gli amanti del surf Kalafatis.

La mia preferita? Senza dubbio Paradise Beach. Bar sulla spiaggia, acqua incantevole e musica in sottofondo a tutte le ore. E’ possibile anche pernottare nella struttura con diverse tipologie di alloggio per tutti i prezzi. Dal Camping, alle camere fino a delle soluzioni superior.

Cosa vedere?

L’isola non è soltanto mare e sabbia finissima. Mykonos è il bianco delle sue case e il blu delle finestre, il tramonto su Little Venice che si colora di rosa, la via dello shopping, le reti da pesca delle barche ormeggiate al porto.

Little Venice è il quartiere tutto bianco che da sul mare. Qui è bello vedere il Sole calare seduti sulla sua piccola spiaggia o in uno dei locali direttamente a filo dell’acqua. Il fascino non è da meno di mattina quando i tavoli non sono ancora apparecchiati e i colori sono ancora più vivi.

Il Porto Vecchio è un luogo da non perdere. Ci arriverete sicuramente passeggiando anche casualmente per le vie di Mykonos. Barchette colorate, le due oche dell’isola e magari se siete fortunati anche il pellicano, una chiesetta bianca sul mare, dei pescatori e il mercato mattutino del pesce.

Matoyianni è la via dei negozi scintillanti, dei ristoranti e delle botteghe di souvenir. Trafficata di giorno quanto di notte, anche se in modo diverso.

I famosissimi Mulini a vento di Mykonos. Costruiti nel XVI secolo, sono ancora attivi anche se oggi sono più che altro delle attrazioni turistiche.

Il Faro Armentis è un vecchio faro in rovina dal fascino senza pari.

Ok, you are in Greece so let’s talk about relaxation and crystal clear sea. The most beautiful beaches on the Island?

My favourite? Without a doubt Paradise Beach. Beach bar, lovely water and background music at all times. It is also possible to stay overnight in the structure with different types of accommodation for all prices. From the Camping, to the rooms up to the superior solutions.

What see?

The island is not just sea and fine sand. Mykonos is the whiteness of its houses and the blue of the windows, the sunset on Little Venice that turns pink, the shopping street, the fishing nets of the boats moored at the port.

Little Venice is the all-white neighborhood that overlooks the sea. Here it is nice to see the Sun setting down on its small beach or in one of the rooms directly at the water’s edge. The charm is not far behind in the morning when the tables are not yet set and the colors are even more alive.

The Old Port is a place not to be missed. You will surely arrive there, also by chance, walking through the streets of Mykonos. Colored boats, the two geese of the island and maybe even if you’re lucky, the pelican, a small church on the sea, the fishermen and the morning fish market.

Matoyianni is the street of glittering shops, restaurants and souvenir shops. Busy by day and by night, even if in a different way.

The famous Mykonos Windmills. Built in the 16th century, they are still active even though today they are more than just tourist attractions.

The Armentis Lighthouse is an old ruined lighthouse with unparalleled charm.
